All the services you need to dive
Equipment maintenance
Everyone likes to have their own diving equipment, as it helps you to be more comfortable underwater and develop your skills better.
Proper care and periodic maintenance of scuba equipment is necessary. If you follow the recommended practices, your scuba equipment can last a lifetime.
At Dive Academy we have technical service and we can check all your equipment so you can enjoy it for many years, but do not neglect it because without good care or maintenance its life span is much shorter.
What can we do for you?
More than a Dive Center
If you have your own bottle, you should know that it is necessary to carry out periodic inspections, also known as retimbrado. These tests are strictly necessary and mandatory for the maintenance of the bottle and for the safety of the user.
There are two types of scuba tank inspections. Firstly, the visual inspection, the tank must pass this test by law every year. Secondly, the hydrostatic test, and this is performed every 3 years.
We can check your bottle for you. Both visual and hydrostatic checks.
Remember never to tamper with a bottle or open the faucet, this work must be done by an authorized periodic inspection center.
The price of the visual checkup is 50€.
The price of the hydrostatic + visual inspection is 60€.
*All bottles must be collected within a period of 3 months from the completion of the test. We reserve the right to recover any costs of the review through the sale of uncollected bottles.

Medical examination (NOT MANDATORY)
Currently in Spain already NO it is compulsory to have a medical examination every 2 years to dive.
In addition, in Tabarca Island it is no longer a mandatory requirement to present it to be able to make your dives.
The doctor will perform the necessary tests to determine if you are in optimal conditions for recreational diving. Prevention is the key in the diving world and because of this there is a very low rate of recreational diving accidents in Spain.
Currently, with the Covid-19 problem, many of the infected persons may have been affected in their lung capacity, and it is recommended that they undergo a medical examination to ensure that they are physically fit for recreational diving.
How do I get a medical examination?
First of all, you should go to a pharmacy and ask for an official medical examination form. Then, with that sheet, go to a doctor specialized in hyperbaric medicine so that he/she can make the pertinent tests and be sure that you can fully enjoy this wonderful underwater world.
If you don’t know where to have your medical examination, we will be happy to suggest several places.
Upon successful completion of all three parts of the course, you will earn your PADI Open Water certification ! This accredits you as an autonomous diver to dive to 18 meters depth anywhere in the world (12m for a junior Open Water between 10-14 years old). In addition, the PADI PADI is the most recognized worldwide, it does not expire and does not need to be renewed.
