PADI Rescue Diver Course

What does the PADI Rescue Diver course consist of?
The PADI Rescue course is two days of practical training plus online theory. During the rescue course you will learn how to deal with stress so that in an emergency situation you will be able to think with a cool head and not trigger panic. This practice is called “self-rescue”. In addition, we will train you to be able to identify and prevent problems that may arise during a day of diving. You know what they say, better safe than sorry.
We will develop several stress management, self-rescue and rescue drills. In addition to being very useful, they will be fun to practice in group. We will teach you the management of dysbaric injuries, something very relevant in the diving world, since it is an injury caused by a sudden change of pressure. Additionally, we will teach you how to elaborate an emergency plan adapted to the day to day life of a dive.
We will also emphasize the considerations to have with the diving equipment. For example, maintenance of diving equipment, its correct use to avoid accidents and the importance of not tampering with it.
Additionally to become certified as a Rescue Diver, you have to have the First Aid course (EFR). You can do it with us and we will coordinate it with the days of the rescue course.
