What does the course consist of?
In Dive Academy Santa Pola we offer two possibilities of Refresco:
The first option is the theoretical refresher: first we will do an explanation of how to set up the equipment, remember the safety procedures, the signals and practice several dry exercises (how to empty the mask, recover the regulator, etc). Then we do two group dives in the sea.
The second option is the Padi Reactivate course. First we will do the theoretical review on how to set up the equipment, diving safety, underwater signals and the demonstration of the exercises. Then we will do a first dive in which we will practice underwater safety exercises (how to empty the mask, recover the regulator, buoyancy, etc.) and we will go for a spin. After a break we will do another dive to get the hang of it again and practice/refresh anything else that we think is convenient. For this second option there will be a maximum group size of 3 people.
It will help you regain confidence in mastering your diving equipment again and you will feel more comfortable underwater.
What does it include?
Theory
We will go over safety procedures, how to set up the equipment, signals and any other aspects you may have doubts or insecurities about.
Dives
Includes 2 ocean dives with a PADI dive instructor
Diving equipment
This course includes the rental of the necessary equipment to carry out the activity.
Requirements
In order to take the refresher course you must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a valid diving license from any diving organization.
- Be at least 10 years old
- No cardiorespiratory problems or serious health problems.
- No persistent ear problems.
- Not pregnant
- Diving insurance (if you don’t have it you can get it in our diving center the day of the activity).

Once you finish your dive refresher we are sure that you will find yourself more confident and self-assured.
You can also come to dive in the marine reserve of Tabarca Island or to one of the other fun dive excursions we organize.
