What does the course consist of?
The introductory course in scuba diving, PADI Open Water consists of dive theory, confined water practices and open water dives. In total we will make 5 dives during the course of Open Water.
PADI Theory
Course theory PADI Open Water course can be done online from the comfort of your home, at your own pace and in the language of your choice. You will learn the basic principles of scuba diving.
Confined water session
The first practical day of your course will be spent learning the principles of scuba diving. Your instructor will explain and review equipment set-up and operation. We will teach you how to communicate and breathe underwater. You will gain confidence and skill as we develop your skills by practicing at your own pace.
Open water dives
After completing the theory and the confined water session we will proceed to make 4 dives in the sea. We will take you through the Mediterranean Sea to put into practice the skills learned in confined water. During the course we will always enter the water gradually and in a controlled manner prioritizing the two most important things for us: safety and fun. First we will practice and then we will start exploring the beautiful seabed.

Dives
1 dive in confined waters and 4 dives in open waters.

The rental of all the diving equipment necessary to carry out the complete course.
Insurance
Diving insurance during the days of the course.
Certification
Once you have completed the course you will get your PADI Open Water diver license.
Requirements
In order to take the course you must meet the following requirements:
- No cardiorespiratory problems or serious health problems.
- Be at least 10 years old.
- No persistent ear problems.
- Not be pregnant.
*No previous experience is necessary to take this course.
Achievements
Upon successful completion of all three parts of the course, you’ll earn your PADI Open Water certification! This accredits you as an autonomous diver to dive to 18 meters depth anywhere in the world (12m for a junior Open Water between 10-14 years old). In addition, the PADI certification is the most recognized worldwide, it does not expire and does not need to be renewed. Once you have completed this course, if you want to go one step further, we recommend the Padi Advanced Open Water course.
