About us

We have more than 12 years of experience diving in the warm and crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, we guarantee a unique service, with personalized and friendly service and a lot of fun from our qualified staff.

We are the only PADI IDC 5 star dive center in Santa Pola, meaning that both our dive center and our instructors meet the high standards of the world’s most recognized diving association: PADI. We will make sure that you will enjoy the activity of your choice in a professional but relaxed atmosphere, where you can trust your instructors and have a great time.

What sets us apart from other dive centers is our optimal location in the port of Santa Pola. Our boat is just a few meters from the center on the promenade of Santa Pola and we are also only 15 minutes by car from Alicante Airport.

Your diving center in Santa Pola (Alicante)".

We offer a wide variety of activities such as PADI diving courses, from beginner to professional divers, diving excursions and snorkeling. We welcome hundreds of beginners, advanced and regular divers every year who are already part of our big family. In addition, we have the privilege of being able to enjoy the FIRST MARINE RESERVE IN SPAIN, the island of Tabarca.

That’s why we also organize snorkeling excursions there, so that the whole family can enjoy them, even the little ones!  The only requirement to be able to go is to know how to swim.

More than a Dive Center

Many people come to the center nervous about the adventures that await them, it is normal to feel some vertigo before an activity that you have never done before, but do not be afraid. We have instructors highly trained in diving safety, we have rigorous standards and procedures for risk prevention.

Safety is a priority for us and we are very pleased to say that we have a 0% accident record at Dive Academy Santa Pola.

In addition to focusing on safety, we practice sustainable diving because for us it is very important to take care of our Mediterranean Sea. On a daily basis we collect garbage from the sea and try to raise awareness of the importance of respecting, caring for and protecting the seabed and the ecosystems that live there. Without them, diving would not make any sense.

Also, our staff is made up of underwater life enthusiasts, including marine biologists, so you can ask them any questions or concerns you may have about the underwater world.

Every year we organize diving trips to fantastic destinations around the world. We love to create unforgettable moments together with you and enjoy our passion for diving exploring different seas and oceans. For example, a vidabordo in Maldives, an amazing experience: a group of people get on a boat and a week later, a family says goodbye at the airport. Are you going to miss it?

We are a family dive center, we love the good vibes and enjoy the friendly atmosphere at Dive Academy Santa Pola.

We are passionate about the sea and feel very fortunate to be able to work in the diving world that fascinates us so much.

“Considered one of the best dive sites in the Mediterranean Sea.”

“The marine reserve of Tabarca Island is one of the most desired places by thousands of divers from all over the world.”

Professionals at your service.

David Duran

Diving Instructor

David came to the world of diving by accident (but the good kind), his best friend had signed up to do the Open Water and as he was in a hurry to go alone he asked him to go with him.
Right after finishing the course, David, on the recommendation of his instructor, bought all the diving equipment and a pack that included everything from the Advanced to the Divemaster.
He was diving in different parts of the world, until after a diving trip to Bali (Indonesia) in 2016, he decided to return to Spain to leave his job of 11 years as an administrative and become a PADI Instructor to be able to teach others the wonderful world of diving.
From 2018 to 2022 David has been working in Indonesia, where he became a Staff Instructor, and has returned to work with the Dive Academy family and his friend Christian whom he met a long time ago, in order to continue to grow as his goal is to become Course Director….

Snorkel, el gato de Dive Academy Santa Pola

Snorkel

The center cat

Hi, I’m Snorkel,

I was born here in the port of Santa Pola with my sister Scuba. My sister was adopted but I was always running away so they couldn’t separate me from my tree next to my favorite dive center.

They feed me every day and give me lots of affection (when I let them). The dive center is my home and I spend all day doing nothing in the sun. Sometimes, if I’m too lazy and don’t get away you can pet me under my neck, I love it.

I love you ❤️
