What does the course consist of?
The first step of the Advanced course is to choose the 5 PADI specialties in which you wish to expand your knowledge. It should be noted that two of them are mandatory. These are deep diving and underwater navigation. As for the optional specialties we will advise you so you can make the right choice for you.
Once you have chosen the specialties you will do the theory corresponding to each one of them. Afterwards, we will do the practices in the sea. This consists of 5 dives in total, 1 for each specialty.
PADI Theory
The theory of the PADI Advanced Open Water course can be done online from the comfort of your home, at your own pace and in the language of your choice. Or by taking a theory class with one of our dive instructors. This option includes a manual that you must pick up at Dive Academy before starting the course. You will learn the necessary information for each of the adventure dives we will do during the course.
Open water dives
During the course PADI Advanced Open Water course we will do one dive for each specialty, for a total of 5 dives. Before each dive your instructor will explain in detail the procedures and the development of the dive.

Diving equipment
The rental of the diving equipment necessary to carry out the complete course. You will also use a dive computer and a compass.
Diving insurance
Diving insurance is included in the price for the 5 specialty dives.
Certification
Once you have completed the course you will get your PADI Advanced Open Water diver license.
Requirements
In order to take the course you must meet the following requirements:
- Open Water Diver, 1 star CMAS/FEDAS or equivalent.
- No cardiorespiratory problems or serious health problems.
- Be at least 12 years old.
- No persistent ear problems.
- Not be pregnant.
Achievements
Upon completion of the course you will be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water certification! In addition to having gained confidence and expanded your skills through the different adventure dives.
There will also be an increase in the maximum depth to which you can dive, 30m (21m for a junior). Advanced Open Water between 12-14 years old).
